Kevin focuses his practice on representing general contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, developers, and others in a wide array of complex litigation and non-litigation matters involving construction disputes and government contracts. His extensive litigation experience—which includes all stages of litigation, from drafting pre-trial discovery and engaging in motions practice, to appearing in court on behalf of his clients, to preparing post-trial motions and pursuing appeals—allows Kevin to assist his clients in achieving favorable and cost-effective resolutions. In addition to frequent practice at the trial court level, Kevin also has co-authored numerous appellate briefs filed in the United States Supreme Court, various United States Courts of Appeal, the Maryland Court of Appeals, and the Maryland Court of Special Appeals. Kevin also regularly advises his clients regarding resolution of disputes before lawsuits are filed and the adoption of general practices geared toward reducing the risk of being forced to engage in time-consuming and expensive litigation.
Prior to joining Huddles Jones Sorteberg & Campbell, P.C., in May 2016, Kevin was an associate in the Washington, D.C. office of a large, Southeastern regional law firm, where he represented homebuilders, general contractors, multifamily housing providers, real estate developers, product manufacturers, and other corporate clients in a variety of construction, fair housing, product liability, environmental, class action, mass tort, and insurance coverage cases brought in both federal and state courts throughout the country.
